Last Saturday I had a go at selling various homemade items at our local Damson Day in the Lyth Valley. I had handmade cards and framed prints for sale, my husband makes the garden items. The kids helped on the stall as well as enjoying the archery and the locally made damson icecream.
It was the most beautiful day, not so beautiful if you're stuck in a tent all day though. Normally the damson blossom is out in full force at this time of year although this year it's a couple of weeks late. I did manage to take a nice shot of the damson tree silhouettes through the marquee though.
My friend Sue from busyblackbird.com also took part with her gorgeous handmade wooden items and cards, as did my Mum who was selling heaps of her homemade damson cheese in her hand thrown pots.
